Technical process In the anoxic state of pool A, denitrifying microorganisms use nitrate as ammonia nutrition to restore and release molecular nitrogen (Nz) or nitrous oxide (NzO) to achieve denitrification, while the organic carbon source material degrades into acid substances, that is, the denitrification process is completed. In the aerobic state of pool O, nitrite-oxidizing bacteria convert ammonia nitrogen in wastewate into nitrite, while nitrifying bacteria convert nitrite into nitrate, and organic carbon source materia oxidizes to COz, that is, the nitrification process is completed.
