Gas liquid counter current bubbling reaction is adopted, and ozone produced by the ozone generator is sent to the bottom of the tower. Wastewater enters from the top of the tower, and the wastewater flows downward while the ozone bubbles float upward. The two phases are fully connected to trigger the oxidation reaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ordinary ozone contact tower<br>Ozone is broken down into tiny bubbles by the titanium microporous aeration plate at the bottom of the tower and diffuses upwards. Ozone molecules directly oxidize pollutants in the water.<br>Direct oxidation: Ozone molecules O3 directly attack organic chromophores to achieve decolorization; Destroying some large organic molecules and breaking the chain to degrade COD; Simultaneously sterilizing and oxidizing some inorganic ions.<br>Disadvantages: Strong direct oxidation selectivity, limited ability to treat some difficult to degrade organic compounds, and low ozone utilization rate.<br>Application: Simple decolorization, disinfection, and reuse of reclaimed water.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Catalytic Ozone Reactor Tower<br>Core: Ozone+catalyst generates hydroxyl radicals \u00b7 OH (oxidation potential 2.8eV), non selective oxidation, which is an advanced oxidation process.<br>Gas liquid countercurrent mass transfer<br>The wastewater flows downwards from the top of the tower; Bottom aeration releases ozone microbubbles upwards, passing through the catalyst packing layer; The filling material significantly increases the gas-liquid contact area, prolongs the reaction residence time (10-25 minutes), and improves the utilization rate of ozone dissolution.<br>Catalytic production of hydroxyl radicals (core reaction)<br>Ozone flows through the surface of the catalyst and rapidly decomposes under the action of the catalyst, generating a large amount of strongly oxidizing hydroxyl radicals \u00b7 OH.<br>OH is non selective, directly breaking down benzene rings, heterocycles, and complex structures to oxidize difficult to degrade large organic molecules into small molecules, ultimately mineralizing into CO \u2082 and H \u2082 O; achieving COD degradation, decolorization, and network breaking, and improving the biodegradability of wastewater.<br>The catalyst simultaneously enriches pollutants in the water onto the surface of the packing material, further accelerating the oxidation reaction, reducing the amount of ozone added, and minimizing ozone waste.<br>Water and exhaust treatment<br>The treated wastewater is discharged from the lower part of the tower; Unreacted residual ozone is led out from the tail gas outlet at the top of the tower and sent to the ozone tail gas disruptor for decomposition, to prevent ozone leakage and environmental pollution.<br>Suitable operating conditions: pH 7-9, normal temperature and pressure; Equipped with ORP\/pH instruments, linked to regulate the amount of ozone added.<\/li>\n<\/ol>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ozone reactor towers are divided into ordinary ozone contact towers and catalytic ozone reactor towers (mainstream in industry).
